here it is! My very first canvas with oil. Taken from a screen of superman 3 with Christopher Reeve. Easily my favorite superman film because its ridiculousness and because of this scene, when superman goes bad. Overall very happy with how it came out, in particular the surely expression of practicing alcoholic.
It has to be said. Canvas is infinity nicer to paint on than canvas paper from a pad.
Two more canvas paper pieces. Practicing again, these are both from live models. The main aim is tying to get used to using medium, thickening the paint strokes for a less sketchy result. Still not quite got the hang of it. Next post will be my first canvas 🙂
More practice, again on canvas paper and from a printed image. Ill definitely do this guy again when i move to canvas, klaus kinski . A great actor with a very interesting face 🙂
