Had another Life drawing Lesson Thursday. Oils on canvas. A really frustrating session where at the end my favorite part of the image is the section bellow the left armpit. The part I barely touched after the first pass.The face and top arm I must have re-done a dozen times. All good practice though.

I really enjoyed this session. Working with the pallet knife a bit more to slap on big lumps of light, I still haven’t got the technique down and probably need a better pallet knife but I’m loving the effect it has.

So anyone who knows me will know I love Tank Girl. I love the character and I love all the Art. Inevitably I was going to paint the Girl herself. Luckily for me a very talented Cosplay artist has created some perfect images for me to work to. In My opinion No other cosplay has quite captured the character as well as she has.
Its still a work in progress as I have really struggled with the face and feet. I am very happy with the body area though and generally the fact she feels quite solid. Ill update when i complete Her.

A practice canvas painted in oil from a Life model. I’m really happy with the face but I got sloppy doing the body and didn’t get the shapes/scales right. I feel like I’m getting closer to the loose painterly feel style.
